Well, 2023 was such a big year in so many ways, among the many achievements of our menopause friendly employers, menopause champions and partners who share our menopause friendly ethos, our very own team had a hat trick of Awards to celebrate….
We are thrilled to announce that our team has been honoured with not one, not two but three prestigious awards, recognising our commitment to excellence, innovation and unwavering dedication to supporting employers in becoming menopause friendly.
These accolades stand as a testament to the hard work and passion of our team and we are proud to share this exciting news.
-
1. CPD – Excellence Award
The first award is for the excellence of our CPD (Continuing Professional Development) accredited training, celebrating effectiveness, innovation and creativity. This award is a huge thumbs up to our relentless pursuit of cutting-edge solutions, ground-breaking ideas and the tireless efforts of our team to lead the way for all employers to raise awareness, education and support for menopause at work.
We are honoured to be recognised for our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible to achieve excellence.
Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace were the first in the world to achieve accreditation on its menopause in the workplace training by The CPD Certification Service, the world’s leading and largest independent CPD accreditation institution operating across all industry sectors.

2. National Facilitator Awards – Equity Award
These awards celebrate facilitators who deliver exceptional training. The second accolade, the coveted Equity Award, was won by Jo Lee Morris, our Head of Training Delivery.
Training is often undervalued and seen as a tick box exercise, but we know that the right facilitator can deliver training that can be transformational to teams, organisations, even lives! This award is testament to Jo’s passion to ensuring everyone is included within our sessions, breaking barriers with practical solutions enabling individuals to feel they are valued.
We are so proud of Jo, though not surprised as we see her in action every day.

3. Menopause Friendly Employer Awards – Individual Contribution
The third award went to Deborah Garlick, founder of Henpicked and CEO of Menopause in the Workplace, for her outstanding contribution to the menopause at work agenda over the years.
Here’s what the The Menopause Friendly Accreditation‘s independent panel of judges said ‘Deborah Garlick has worked tirelessly to bring about change across the UK and now across the rest of the world. She was talking about menopause at work long before it was high profile facing what must have felt like an uphill battle at times, to make the case that providing awareness and support for menopause at work is essential. This work has not only changed the workplace, it has also changed lives and will continue to do so and we know that is what really matters to her.’
This award reflects a decade of Deborah’s unwavering commitment and passion. She was surprised to receive this recognition along with a standing ovation from the 400 attending the Menopause Friendly Employer Awards. Before vowing to continue until she’s completed on her mission to make every employer menopause friendly.
With very special thanks to the judges and to you!
