Talk to us today

Thank you for joining our Menopause in the Workplace webinars and to the team at HPMA for organising them. We hope you enjoyed the sessions and they were genuinely helpful for your next steps in becoming a menopause friendly organisation.

The aim is to make it easy for you to develop your menopause approach and plan, getting everyone talking about menopause and putting the right training and support in place. We’re with you all the way.

Step 1: download ‘How menopause friendly is your organisation’ checklist

In the webinar series were:

  • How menopause friendly is your organisation
  • Menopause and employment law with Jog Hundle from Mills & Reeve
  • Showcase: organisations demonstrating best practice with Suzanne Banks CBE (former Chief Nurse of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Trust), Amanda-Jane Weir (Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn) and Anne-Marie Dunkley (Northampton General Hospital).

We’ll continue to look at the key themes of resources you’ve said will help. Here are the next key steps…

Step 1. Download ‘How menopause friendly is your organisation‘ checklist. Simply click on the image and ‘save as’ to store it or you can print it off too.

Step 2. Rewatch the ‘How menopause friendly is your organisation‘ webinar content. Think about your own organisation and put your plan together following each of the 6 focus areas. Click on the 12 October 2020 slide below.

Step 3. Rewatch the ‘Menopause and Employment Law‘ webinar and review the policies and guidance document examples below. There are also sample guidelines and policies underneath these webinars. Click on the 19 October 2020 slide below.

Step 4. Rewatch the ‘Showcase: Menopause in the Workplace‘ to hear from those who are already demonstrating best practice – we hope this gives you plenty of ideas for your campaign. Click on the 19 November 2020 slide below.

Menopause policies and guidance documents – examples

A few of you asked for example menopause factsheets or policies. We do have some templates, but we haven’t written two guidance documents or policies that are exactly the same. The best thing to do is to have a chat with us first, so we can understand what would work best for your organisation. In the meantime, here are a few examples.

Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust

Thank you to Helen Mumby and the team for allowing us to share their handouts (click on the link below):

We’ve also asked other organisations we’ve supported if we can share theirs with you too – so stay tuned!

We want to make it easy for you.

We have a wide range of resources and training. Let’s talk about what would be the most helpful for you and your organisation.

We’re here to make it easy for you to get everyone talking about menopause at work. Drop us a note and we’ll be in touch very soon.
